Skiing!
We're going skiing this weekend. It's been forever and I can't wait. I'm actually snowboarding. I have my own board. It'll be Megan's first time skiing.
I've been holding off mentioning it because I didn't want to jinx it but at this point I don't think there's any stopping it. We've been getting a half-inch or so dusting almost every night for a week, and they've gotten real snow every time up in the mountains. Now they're calling for more severe weather here, so I can only imagine how much snow is forecast for the mountains.
At this point the plan is to take it slow and make it through the weekend without breaking any bones – something I can't claim I've done the last two trips I've made. If I can come back and confirm that then I will consider the trip a success.
In addition to all of that, I'll be battling the arthritis in my hips and lower back caused by the Crohns. Hopefully that won't prove to be too much of a problem, but I'll be bringing a fresh new bottle of Tylenol just in case.
Of course, I start Crocheting tomorrow night, so I guess I'll be bringing that along and spending a little time on it in the evenings. Where better to crochet than by a warm fire at our cabin in the Pocono mountains? (Maybe the hot tub?)
