Random Bickering

I'm in a bickering mood, so lets bicker. I paid for a Flickr pro account, but they made me pay through PayPal, and all but required me to pay via e-check, meaning I have to wait somewhere between 3-8,000 days for it to "clear" before I actually get my Flickr pro access. Every instant gratification bone in my body aches (which is all of them). On the plus side, some time before we go to Ireland I should have all of our pictures organized into albums and browsing them should seem more familiar. Speaking of aches, I woke up at 3:30 this morning unable to get comfortable find a position that didn't cause me agonizing pain. I considered hopping in the bath like I did before my doctors started investigating Spondylitis, but that seemed too wet and like too much work for that hour. Instead I took some Tylenol, contemplated making a Tylenol & Darvocet cocktail but didn't, and did 20 minutes of yoga on our bedroom floor to try to stretch out my back. It's frustrating when stretches that I can do during the day seem all but impossible at night, and worse when I know that accomplishing the stretch would release the tension in my back muscles and let me rest. Finally I remembered that I still had my trusty heating pad dangling over the bed post, so I turned the dial somewhere between the 3rd and 7th rings of Hell and propped myself up on that and a few pillows. Once it started warming up I was in, ironically, Heaven. I could feel the knots in my back untie. Oh yeah, yoga. Believe it or not it's something that's actually stuck… somewhat. I think I've mentioned that we don't do it as often as we should or could, but we have been doing it, and I do feel the benefit of it. I'm happy to report that I can touch the floor, with a little bit of effort (every time)! I still feel a little goofy – like you probably would when you first start to do Tai Chi – as we do some of the standing poses. We are both improving our balance, but a little wobbly at times.

  1. I'm glad you are sticking with the yoga (or its sticking with you :) ) and it provides some relief. I'm sorry that you have had a rough couple of days between flickr and your body. Hope both improve soon.
