Do You Ever Feel Like A Ghost? (16/365)

One of those days where you don't get a single phone call, email, instant message, or even a twitter reply. Where you just feel like nobody on the planet knows you're alive.

Is it nice?

Today I'm feeling like I would like one of those days. Having saved up all of my vacation for when the baby arrives (since I don't get any paid paternity leave), I haven't taken a vacation or sick day since we got back from Ireland, more than a year ago. I'm getting a little stir crazy.

It's nothing personal to anyone who might want or need to talk to me, especially about work that I am doing, but occasionally I find myself drifting off into a "Scrubs" style daydream where I rip the person's head and spine off in a glorious finishing move, ala Mortal Kombat. That's not too productive when your coworker is describing the website changes he needs.

    Is that frost or ice in the window? We had a little cold snap here but chilly is about the worst of it. No frost yet.
