Sideblog: A book I might want…

I haven't decided yet if this book will be more propaganda than it's worth, but the first few pages (on Amazon) give me hope.

What makes a good wedding?

Vodka. But not just vodka in a glass. Vodka dripping from the ceiling. We're back from Detroit, where we drove for Luke & Meggan's wedding. There was indeed vodka dripping from the ceiling at the reception, but any more explanation would ruin the humor in it, so just enjoy that fact. The hotel that the wedding party and I would assume most guests were staying in (it was the recommended hotel on the invitation) was also evacuated at about 11:00 on Saturday night, during the reception, due to "a chlorine smell." People were put up in various other hotels, and Sue & Ed even ended up at ours. We took a picture of 8 Mile road, and a bunch of the requisite pictures of the adorable ring bearer and other children dancing and having a good time. I would have edited them in the car on the way home and had them up already, but my laptop battery died before I could get started… so you'll have to wait… like usual. The drive was mostly flat and totally uneventful, except for some mind numbing traffic due to road construction. On the way home we actually realized there was a stretch of the Ohio Turnpike where we could see somewhere around 10 miles of straight flat road out in front of us. Certainly no Weiner Mobile. We stopped a few times to take on fuel and caffeine, offload water, and eat lunch in a grassy area surrounded by dog poo. In other news, tomorrow is my first Remicade treatment. Wish me luck! (Update: Wednesday. They called and rescheduled.)
