A penny for your thoughts?
Well, it looks as we've been a little remiss in updating the site. I guess I'll tell you a bit about what's been going on around these parts. As of Saturday, March 11th, we have officially been potential home buyers; with a pre-approval letter and a signed buyer-agency agreement with a real estate agent. So far we've toured 4 houses, none of which were to our liking – at least not enough to make an offer. For the curious minds, our preference would be to find a house in the Kennett Square area, but our search extends from Kennett/Unionville to the southern Coatesville area. Officially, the search area also extends towards West Chester a little bit, but cost of living is pretty high out there, so we don't have very high hopes of finding something too far east of the line I described.
It's disappointing to sit down with a letter from someone offering you a loan, and a pile of house listings, and come out empty handed… but we try to remember that we've only been in the market for four days, and counting.
Cora's first birthday is today (Happy Birthday Cora!), and her first birthday party is Saturday. Shhh, don't tell her, it's a surprise! It seems like just yesterday that she was born, and now she knows enough baby-sign-language to have very basic conversations. It blows me away! She's even on the verge of her first solo steps, though the attempts – also known as a somewhat controlled descent – are getting better every time!
Yesterday we received an invitation to Matt & Christina's wedding, so that makes 3 left outstanding. Megan is in the bridal party for Erin & Zach's wedding, and we are also planning on attending Vernon & Jennie's wedding. I'm beginning to get the feeling these things just aren't going to stop until we run out of friends.
