We're… MARRIED?!

Hello again!

It's getting late on Monday night, but I thought I'd stop in and say "hi." Hi.

The honeymoon was amazing, and I'm sure we'll get to tell you all about it the next time we see you. I don't think we want to spoil all of the fun by writing about everything here on the website. Then we wouldn't have anything to talk about! ;)

Needless to say, all of the places we visited were exotic and beautiful in their own way. The ocean was the most beautiful blue I have ever seen, both in and out of port; and the entire trip is something that we will not soon forget. We took hundreds of pictures, including 3 underwater cameras that we've already sent off to be developed, so sooner or later there will be lots of additions to the photo album.

In the meantime, I've put together one small photo album to tide you over. On Thursday, in Cozumel, we took a taxi from the port to the national park. There was a lot of beautiful stuff there, but we found out quickly that it was dense with wild iguanas! (As a side note, the taxi driver on the way back to the port told us that the hurricane a few months ago that went through mexico killed a lot of them, so we didn't see their usual numbers! WOW!) Conveniently, every lizard in Cozumel is named, "Waldo;" because I've entitled this photo album, "Where's Waldo?"

Good luck!

We're still here…

We're four days out now, and it's been a while since either of us wrote anything for the site; so I thought I'd take a second to let you know that we're still here, and we're still getting married! ;)

We've been very overwhelmed with all of the little things that it takes to put on a wedding, but in that good way. We spend most nights doing the little things like cutting out place cards and alphabetizing them (last night), or cleaning the house in anticipation of our house-guests (all weekend), or typing up notes & instructions for the staff at the fountains and anyone helping out with, well… anything (every night!).

It's a little strange to think that I'm getting married this weekend. It sits on my calendar in the same manor as birthday parties and dentist appointments. But it signifies not just a new chapter in our lives, but the first pages of a whole new book!

I guess the best way to describe the way I feel right now is the image of an hourglass. The sand on top represents all of the events of our lives leading up to a single point. All of them are headed, each in their own way, to exactly the same point. For just a brief moment, they will stand in line and pass through that moment, and then they will all go on to form our lives after the wedding – which can be equally as expansive.

We'll see you in four days!

Just kidding!

Don't believe everything you read on the internet!

It turns out there are still plenty of rooms available in our reserved block at the hotel nearest the reception site. Megan and I verified this on Saturday.

Sorry for the confusion, but at least you know where the other hotels are if it should come to that. :)
