Busy, busy, busy?

This weekend was quite possibly the busiest weekend I've had in a while. It started on Friday when Adam and I went out to dinner with his cousin Kevin and his new wife Shelly. They happened to be in town for the weekend, so we made last minute plans to get together and catch up. After a yummy meal and sharing wedding planning stories, they headed back to their hotel in Ocean City and we went home and passed out.

On Satruday we headed up to Downingtown to visit Susan, Ed, and Cora. Although our main purpose of the trip was to plan ceremony music with Ed, I think we spent most of the afternoon playing and cooing over Cora. She has grown so much since we saw her last and she is much stronger now too! Adam posted the pictures we took in the Photo Gallery, so you can see for yourself how much she's grown (yes, we remembered to bring a camera for once!)

After a nice long visit with the Dart's we met my friends at Macaroni Grill for dinner. Aside from the poor service we received, the meal was delicious and it was great to see some of my friends from back home again. (I miss you guys!) We didn't get back to Salisbury until almost 11pm. Poor Moxie thought we had abandoned him without his dinner; I don't think I've ever seen a dog so excited to eat before.

Sunday turned out to be another day filled with visiting family. Dennis' mother and sister happened to be in DC for the week to go to some convention and since they were in town the whole Tuttle Family, myself included, drove up to Annapolis to meet them. It had been about 19 years since Dennis had seen his family, so there was quite a lot of catching up to do. Once again, Moxie didn't get his dinner until almost 11pm. It's a good thing dogs love unconditionally.

Somewhere in all the craziness, Adam and I have managed to find time to work on addressing wedding invitations and shopping for materials for the centerpeices. Our plan is to have the invitations in the mail by this weekend. Then we can cross one more thing off our "To do" list!

photos… or lack thereof

On more than one occasion this Holiday weekend I found myself saying, "We didn't bring a camera. We should have brought a camera."

For my own personal benefit – as much as yours – if we mention that we're going somewhere, please suggest that we might want to bring a camera.

After all, if we don't take any pictures, then what on Earth will we put in the photo gallery?

76 days to go, which doesn't sound like a whole lot of time to me. You can really throw out today and call it 75 if you want… we're going to the beach! :)

I'm pretty impressed with myself for not stressing out over the details we haven't figured out yet. We're getting close to sending out invitations; we've got favors figured out; and thanks to Ray – the big cheese at the Fountains – we at least know what we want our cake to taste like. We're still thinking about appearance.

We met with the Wedding Coordinator (and Ray) at the Fountains this week and discussed the schedule for the day of the ceremony, the menu for the reception, and things like linen colors, centerpieces, etc.

We're going to be pretty busy during most of the weekends August – so we have to keep that in mind and try to plan ahead as much as possible.

This week I finally got back in touch with the hotel and they do have our personalized online reservations page ready. I've updated our Wedding Information page with a link to that page and some new information, including a new area map. The first drawback to using a wedding facility & hotel that are just built, on a brand new road, is that the road won't be on any maps, and no online directions services will know how to get you there.
