Entries for month: May 2005
As is typical Tuttle tendancy (alliteration is fun!), the dust never seems to settle around here.
You may have heard that we got a dog. We did, indeed. Megan brought
Moxie home from the Humane Society on Friday, May 6th. He's a 5 month old Chocolate Lab mix. "With what," you ask? Some say boxer, some say pit bull. Regardless, he is very well behaved, and a lot of fun to play with. Ollie had a distinct distaste for him originally, but seems to be adjusting fairly well.
Megans larger belongings like her couches, bed, dresser, and desk were all moved into the duplex this weekend and we've begun the process of her officially living here.
As I told Megan after I finished mowing our lawn for the first time with our new lawn mower: Now that we have a dog, a cat, and a lawn mower; we're officially a family. ;)
In the last few days I've updated the checklist – there's a lot of stuff crossed off now! I've added a Wedding Information page to the links section on the right – which I'll be updating with more (and corrected) information as I track it down; and added 2 more albums to the
Photo Gallery – Cora's dedication, and some random photo's of megan and myself.
We're still making slow but steady progress on the wedding plans. We've almost made a decision on entertainment for the reception: we have it narrowed down to one band and one or two DJ's, and we hope to make that decision this week.
After that – at least according to our checklist – we need to send invitations out, which we are planning to do in the beginning of June; I need to renew my passport; and we need to register. It's becoming evident that Sue was right and there's no need for a long engagement other than to book services and resources far enough in advance to get what you want.
Over the next couple of weekends I'll be helping my parents move into their new house, and helping Megan move in with me. There's always
something going on!
I guess lastly – at least for today, I'll mention that we're looking at the possibility of adopting a dog from the local Humane Society. We've been there a few times and found one that we like. Now it's just a matter of time before we seal the deal.
The excitement never ends around here!
