No, this is not a pregnancy announcement! Far from it! Megan's sister Susan and Brother in law Ed just recently had a baby girl.
Cora Joy Dart was born on March 14th at 2:17 pm, weighed in at 8 lbs, 10 ounces, and measured up at 21.5 inches!
On March 19th – the first Saturday following her birth – Megan and I journeyed back to the homeland (PA) to visit adorable little Cora, Sue, and Ed. All three of them were tired and hungry, but surprisingly cheerful – considering they had only been home for 5 days! We took plenty of pictures, which will be available in our
photo gallery.
Cora: Even though you're not
officially my niece yet… Welcome to the family!
Of course the latest announcement in our lives is that of our engagement!
On Thursday night, March 24th 2005, I asked Megan to be my wife and to spend the rest of our lives together, and she happily agreed. That turned out to be the easy part, and now we're hard at work planning all of the details for the big day.
So far we've begun work on a tentative guest list, started thinking of possible venues for both the ceremony and reception and begun collecting information about them, thought about who would be in the wedding party, and decided that we are planning to get married during September of 2005 – just to name a few things! Of course, we've also started notifying our friends and family of the good news. No doubt, there are enough details to think about to make one's head spin. To help with that, we picked up a book at Barnes & Noble on Monday afternoon that has lists upon lists of the things we need to be thinking about and the decisions we need to be making – just to be sure we aren't missing anything.
As if this isn't enough to have on our minds, we both have to remember to continue to live our daily lives! This means that we also need to think about Megan moving in once May rolls around, as well as the numerous events that are taking place between now and September. We're attending Cora's dedication, we both have birthdays, and we're fast approaching our one-year (dating) anniversary; and all of that is
just in April! Nedless to say, we've got enough to keep the two of us busy until the big day arrives.
It's going to be a pleasantly chaotic six months. I hope you've got your seatbelt on tight and you brought your sunglasses.
Welcome to the website that we're putting together to chronicle our wedding and lives thereafter! We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy working on it. :)
